The Infant and Junior Departments of the school care for children between the ages of 5 and 11. 

The National Curriculum helps to shape teaching, with children participating in literacy and numeracy every day.  In the Infant classes, children are supported by one teacher who oversees their learning and personal development.

As children progress in to the Junior Department  they will start French lessons. Subjects such as Art and Design, Technology and Music are taught by specialist staff who also teach  Senior classes.  This helps to ensure a very smooth transition to the Senior Department of the school.

Pupils with Special Educational Needs are considered on an individual basis. The school will want to make sure that the needs of the pupil can be met by the school. The school will also consider the potential receiving class. The school is not able to cater for pupils who are not fluent in English.
