On Wednesday 26 May, an afternoon of fun activities was held at The King's School to raise money to help severely malnourished children in Northern Ghana. Staff and pupils paid £1 to come dressed in the bright colours of the Ghanaian flag, and took part in activities including sports, pampering, face painting, and even throwing wet sponges at some of the teachers! The idea for the afternoon came from pupils in Y10, who have been learning about the work of The King's Village, Ghana in their Christian Studies lessons. They worked really hard to make the afternoon a success, and together we raised over £330. The money will be used to build some more accommodation at the Nutrition Centre at The King's Village, and will literally help to save children's lives. A huge thank you to everyone who was involved in the afternoon. Together, we really have made a difference.
