This year, once again, pupils and their families have been busy packing and wrapping shoeboxes full of toys and gifts to send to underprivileged children around the world.
The initiative is called Operation Christmas Child, and is run by the Samaritan's Purse, an international relief organisation. Last year, they sent around 1.12 million shoeboxes to children in Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. This year, The King's School were able to donate 51 shoeboxes to the appeal. Thank you to everyone who got involved in this practical expression of God's love to those in need. |
