From the age of 11, children enter the  Senior  Department of the school.  They continue to be taught in year groups.  Each subject is taught by specialist staff.

In  Year 10, pupils can choose from a wide variety of GCSEs.  The subjects we offer are:

English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Science (up to three different sciences can be taken), Religious Studies, History, Geography, Modern Languages, Information Technology (Double Award), Music, Art and Design, Physical Education and Childcare.

The size of the school  largely allows us to fit the timetable around a pupil's individual choices.  Alternative courses can be offered to those for whom GCSEs are not appropriate.

Pupils with Special Educational Needs are considered on an individual basis. The school will want to make sure that the needs of the pupil can be met by the school. The school will also consider the potential receiving class. The school is not able to cater for pupils who are not fluent in English.
