Sophie, now in Year 9, joined The King's School in 2007 on the recommendation of a friend.  Having felt like she was under a lot of pressure at her previous school, Sophie says she is now much happier, and no longer feels apprehensive about coming to school.  ‘The King's School is a really friendly, close-knit community.  Teachers care about you as a person, not just how well you will do in your GCSEs'.

Nathan has been at The King's School for 2 years, and is currently working towards his GCSEs, including art, technology and music.  Since being at The King's School, he says his behaviour has improved and he is learning and participating in lessons much more.  He says the best thing about the school is that ‘You're a name and not just a number.  The teachers care, not just about academic success, but developing the whole person.'

Sam joined The King's School in Year 6, and feels it has made a huge difference to his life.  ‘The atmosphere at The King's School is unique - really friendly and welcoming.'  Sam says being at the school has helped his confidence to grow, and has given him a whole new outlook on life.
